Mike Anders is currently the Director of Member Services & Coach Program at the Women’s Tennis Association. Mike has been with the WTA for 9 years holding numerous positions within the Operations and Member Relations departments before transitioning into his current role, where he is responsible for developing and overseeing a number of member service programs that support the strategic objectives of the WTA. Mike has designed and implemented several programming initiatives to standardize, support and promote professional coaching on the Hologic WTA Tour which include the implementation of coach media program at WTAl and Grand Slam tournaments, the launch of the WTA Coach of the Year Award, administration of coach-education requirements for WTA registered coaches, and the development of the WTA’s Coach Inclusion Program.
Prior to working at the WTA, Mike began his career in tennis administration at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association as Manager of Events and Championships. Mike received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte while competing on the men’s tennis team and later went on to receive his MBA from Mercer University while serving as the Assistant Coach of both the men’s and women’s tennis team.
